I don't know if you have noticed, but I don't wear REALLY short skirts or dresses very often. Somehow I feel uncomfortable showing so much leg. So dresses (like the purple shirtdress I have on today) that are super short usually don't get worn very often. But this purple shirtdress is definitely an exception!
I have managed to wear this dress in different ways without showing much leg... Let me explain: If I wear it as a dress, I add a skirt underneath so that the dress seems a little bit longer:

Sometimes I wear it like a trenchcoat or vest of some sort:
And now that I think about it, I could probably wear it with tights or leggins as well! See?! A little creativity goes a long way when it comes to under-used items in your closet.

I love all the ways your wear and i love your modest dressing sense. It is so rare these days. I do not mind when young girls where short skirts but very often they continue this till they are in their middles ages and then it becomes very age inappropriate and this i really dislike.
Coming back to your look, i am going to copy wearing a skirt under a short dress !! Love how reading this blog gives me so many ideas.
