Hello everyone!! So if you follow me on Instagram (@mjmcgrath), you probably already know that today is a very very special day... it's Alejo and I's 5 year dating anniversary!! YAI!

 

I know I don't talk much about our relationship on the blog, but let me tell you that the last 5 years have definitely been the very best years of my life. We have lived so many memories together, traveled the world, and even graduated together. He is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me.

 

So, without further adieu, here is a little video surprise that I made for him (find it at the beginning of this post)! It is a collection of some of our favorite moments together in the last 5 years. I hope you all enjoy it!

The Easiest Way to Mix Patterns

When it comes to pattern mixing, I don't think it gets any easier than mixing stripes with polka dots; especially if the patterns are all black and white. So if any of you have been wondering how to mix patterns, try pairing two black and white patterned items (like stripes+polka dots, or perhaps stripes+florals). It's that easy you guys!

I wore this to work and also to dinner with my family at the beautiful Causeway. I absolutely loooove the view of the skyscrapers and boats from this area of Panama... I find it to be so relaxing!

Red trousers and birthday celebrations

I know you all don't see me wear trousers that often, but let me tell you that I'm really loving these red trousers! They were a birthday present from my brother Daniel, and I love how they make me look long and lean.

 

In the afternoon, I bought some cupcakes to surprise a friend on her birthday, don't they look deeeelish?! I thought it was a cute coincidence that the Red Velvet cupcake (my favorite!) combined with my outfit today ;)

Today I celebrated one of my best friends' birthdays by going out for sushi dinner and bringing her a huuuuugggee present. Inside this big box, there were several smaller wrapped gifts that she had to dig out amongst all the stuffing. She was SO excited every time she found a new present inside the box ;)

 

Happy birthday once more Maite, you are a magnificent friend. Thank you for everything!

The sweetest letter I've ever received

Today my brother Tom hosted a casual dinner party at his apartment to spend some quality family time. After having our delicious meal, my grandmother surprised us all by giving each of us a late Christmas present. 

She handed me the most adorable letter I've ever received. It had many cute doodles and sweet words, I almost got teary eyed reading it. It was definitely one of the sweetest things I've ever seen :)

Feria de las Flores, Boquete

 

  Here are the photos of the last day of our vacations in the countryside! Today we re-visited the Feria de las Flores (Flower fair) to get a better look at all the gorgeous flowers.

The pink flowers in particular were just breathtaking! I could spend hours just sitting there looking at how pretty they were.

Today we also went for a nice coffee break at Kotowa Coffee... it was so yummy!

Another pretty thing about today? We saw an amazing rainbow!! Isn't it puuuurdy?! Even Gorilon decided to kick back and look at the rainbow ;)
